DevBlog #02 - I am back!

Hello there! So, I know I am a bit late for the November DevBlog, and I have no excuses. I had planned to write this the week before and upload it yesterday on Sunday, but now I am having to write this on my phone so I can then upload it to the website. Anyway, let's get back to the important part. Where are we? Well, not that far. I haven't posted a blog for the past 2 months simply because there hasn't been much to show. I have gotten better at working with React-Native, and work has gotten smother with time. However, there is still a lot to do. I haven't gotten to prototyping the core features of the app yet, and I have to admit I should have reached this stage already. Safe to say it will be hard to get the beta version out by the end of January next year (I said hard, not impossible). Looking at the cup 'half-full' Tho, I am now able to fully implement the design of the app the way I want to, although I haven't gotten to do that yet. That part has to wa...

DevBlog #01 - React Native is hard man

Hello there, this is the second development blog for Project eyesight, showing what progress was made during the month of July. I’ve also included an updated roadmap to kind of let you all know when the app is coming out. Keep in mind however, this isn’t a definitive timeline, I also have other stuff going on that unfortunately take much of my time (like an actual job because I need something to support this project). Development updates After what it felt like ages, I managed to get React Native properly working, which reminds me to tell you, if you’re looking forward to making your own multi-platform app, choose Flutter, for the love of God stay away from the death trap that is React Native. It may be too late for me but there’s still hope for you out there. (Next I’ll post a quick tutorial to set RN up for Visual Studio Code, hope I’ll be able to help). In a more serious tone however, I have been using July to learn how all the small parts of RN work and started prototyp...

I was working on my app design again, fixing a few things, and decided to make a few wallpapers, I couldn't upload them on photo sharing platforms because they were too small lol. So I decided to post them here so you can download them on their full quality. Enjoy. Steve Wallpapers Motivational Wallpapers

DevBlog #00 - Releasing the Website

So here we are, after wasting a whole month designing my own website, I decided it wasn't even worth it in the end. After all why do all the work of creating and maintaining a whole website just to post some blog posts (that few people will ever ready anyway). Therefore, I chose to go with Blogger, more because it would be a new experience from WordPress which I have used in the past, and obviously because it would take all the hard work away from me, so I can focus on working on that app I keep telling you about. Where are we so far?      Well, not far really. I haven't been able to work on it much, plus a few things have not gone the way I was planning for them to go. First it was school as I had to finish college and therefore had to study for my final exams. Then there were problems with the software I was planning to use to create the app, Android Studio just wouldn't work with me. So after finishing the design stage, and starting the second phase of pr...
